We are looking for a passionate and proven leader who excels at creating and inspiring teams, fostering a love for their careers with P&O Cruises.As the leader in this position, you will have full accountability for the housekeeping and laundry department. Your primary focus will be on maintaining exceptional levels of presentation, cleanliness, and guest services across all areas our guests enjoy. Your goal is to drive an efficient, smooth, and financially optimised operation, ultimately enhancing the overall experience.Main Responsibilities:As the Head of the Housekeeping Department, your responsibilities will include overseeing up to 2610 guest cabins, front-of-house public areas, back-of-house areas (including living spaces for staff members), and managing operations such as laundry, swimming pool supervision, and floristry.

- Lead a large middle management team by example, driving engagement, and achieving results through motivation and effective leadership.Demonstrate a passion for cleanliness and industry standards, continuously improving existing procedures and fostering capability within the team.Utilise strong performance management skills to elevate your team's performance, identifying key areas of improvement to achieve KPIs and maintain high standards.Implement efficiency-driven practices, leveraging experience in time and motion, "lean" methodologies, and techniques to maximize workplace effectiveness.Ensure smart resourcing of teams, conduct appraisals to identify development opportunities, and provide support to managers and supervisors for team guidance and motivation.Maintain a strong commercial focus by monitoring and managing department costs, optimising laundry services, and identifying revenue-generating opportunities.Uphold corporate public health, hygiene, and safety guidelines, fostering a culture of compliance within the teams and ensuring work is carried out safely and efficiently.Oversee the smooth movement of guest baggage operations on and off the ship, ensuring effective and efficient processes.Foster effective communication with senior management ashore, ensuring understanding and embedding of new policies and initiatives within the team.
- Experienced leadership professionals with a proven track record of managing large and multinational teams, including the management of other managers.Professionals with a background in large-scale operations, such as hotels with 1000+ bedrooms, holiday resorts, or cruise lines, and who thrive in fast-paced environments.Leaders with experience in budget management and financial oversight within a corporate setting.Individuals with a demonstrated ability to lead and inspire large teams with a clear direction and strategic vision.
