International Foundation Senior Lead Coach - Stamford Bridge, London
JOB TITLE: International Foundation Senior Lead Coach
DEPARTMENT: Foundation International Football Department
REPORTING TO: International Operations & Events Manager
JOB FUNCTION: To support development and delivery of a range of football programmes globally
LOCATION: Place of work will be across multiple global locations with a focus on Europe.
CONTRACT: 35hrs per week, normally 5 of 7 days per week.
This role will include extensive travel with approximately 3-6 periods of 4-8 weeks based in set
location leading coaching delivery. Training and development will be delivered in the UK between
travel and will require a fixed UK address. The role will require to work unsociable hours, weekends and evenings as the role requires.

PLAY YOUR PART (Main Responsibilities):
- The Senior Lead Coach will be responsible for developing new and existing relationships
- The International Foundation Senior Lead Coach will lead a range of football coaching programmes, in a number of international locations over a set period as set by management.
- The Senior Lead Coach will lead and deliver across various international short-term projects, leading a coaching cohort of staff ensuring delivery is to the CFC Foundation standards.
- The Senior Lead Coach will be responsible for planning meetings, producing curriculums, syllabuses and trip orientation booklets for short-term global football projects
- The Senior Lead Coach will have an operational responsibility to support programme compliance this includes working as a safeguarding lead and managing H&S.
- Programme development will include a range of coaching duties including holiday camps
- In additions to core football development there may be a requirement to support a range of special events including bespoke activities, tournaments and festivals in this period.
- Supporting promotion for activities will be an added responsibility in selected locations.
- Developing professional relationships with multiple stakeholders is imperative.
- All members of staff will be trained to work to set standards implementing appropriate policies and procedures to uphold best practice.
- As a representative of Chelsea FC Foundation internationally, staff conduct both on and off the fields will be key. This will be monitored and supported by your programme manager
- On going CPD and attendance to training will be a requirement of this role.

- All staff performance will be monitored throughout a trip and programme delivery by the designated lead and a formal review after each trip.

Qualifications:
Essential
- FA UEFA B License coaching certificate (or equivalent)
- Fluent in English – written and verbal communication
- Valid FA Emergency First Aid and FA Safeguarding Children certificate
- Right to work in the European Union (passport or equivalent working rights)
Desirable
- FA UEFA A Licence coaching certificate (or equivalent)
- FA Advanced Youth Award
- Teaching, Sports Science / Studies, or related degree
- An ability to communicate in other languages would be advantageous to this role.
Experience:
- Minimum of 2000 hours of Football Coaching delivery experience.
- At least 1000 hrs coaching experience within a professional football club environment
- Significant Key Stakeholder and Partnership Management experience is essential
- Experience of managing and leading an event or a group of staff is essential
- Competent to create and complete administrative and operational tasks related to the role.
- Coaching experience in a community development programme, with boys and girls of all abilities from 4 to 18 years.
- Experience of working with international players and coaches (both English and non-English speaking) from different cultural backgrounds is advantageous.
- Experience of working in a football / sports development environment is with club level players is essential to this role.
Skills and Behaviours:
- Skilled in managing and developing professional relationships with internal and external partners is an essential skill required for this role.
- Excellent communication skills, using multiple channels to ensure efficiency is essential.
- Proven organisational skills with a proficiency to work to strict deadlines and targets.
- An aptitude to inspire and motivate a team to maximize performance.
- Exceptional interpersonal and problem solving skills to create a positive outcome
