Coylumbridge Hotel is a family and pet friendly resort just outside Aviemore, with an impressive 292 rooms on site. Nestled in the mature pine woods that form part of the Cairngorms National Park it's the ideal base for outdoor activities amidst stunning scenery. Challenging mountain walks, skiing, cycling, leisurely strolls around romantic lochs and water sports can all be found within a short distance as well as lots of opportunities for family fun days out. Our Duty Manager(s) play a key role in making all our guests welcome and deliver service with a smile, however busy it might be! Our Duty Manager(s) work in a changing shift pattern which can be demanding but also give a committed and driven team member the chance to show off their skills and strive for a career progression. Most importantly is the right attitude to embrace a role in hospitality which can be challenging and rewarding at the same time and requires energy and care, to always do one's best.
Transportation is provided between the Hotel and Aviemore Train Station for shifts (Subject to position).
As Duty Manager you will be required to:
- Maintain consistent standards of service, ensuring guest satisfaction and organisational values.
- Promote all hotel facilities to guests and potential customers.
- Deal with customer enquiries correctly and as efficiently as possible.
- Maintain a proactive attitude towards all staff in various departments and represent the company to project the best image and high level of standards.
- The Duty Manager will be Front Office based but will provide support and cover in all departments when needed.
- A good understanding of health and safety and the ability to carry out building, fire safety, and room checks is required.
- This vacancy is available on a full-time contract.
The successful candidate will have experience in running the Duty Manager Shift in a Hotel holding 150 bedrooms or more. The role requires excellent communication skills with both employees and guests and the demonstration of exceptional customer service and management skills. The Duty Manager will be Front Office based as well as providing support and cover in all departments when needed. A good understanding of Health & Safety and the ability to carry out building, fire safety and room checks is required. Tasks instructed by hotel management will be expected to be carried out with minimal supervision. The ideal candidate is self-motivated, diligent, and staying calm under pressure. The Duty Manager will be confident in always leading by example and will support the success of the hotel by identifying areas for improvement with subsequent follow up actions, including staff training and supervision.
