Graphic Designer
What is the purpose of the role?
The Graphic Designer will be responsible for the process of defining requirements, visualising and creating graphics including illustrations, videos, layouts and photos for external marketing campaigns and internal communications.
You'll be the one to shape the visual aspects of online and offline marketing output, as well as create the internal communication branding and training material.
The graphics should capture the attention of those who see them and communicate the right message with supporting on brand copy. For this, you will need to have a creative flair and a strong ability to translate brief requirements into design, and a strong understanding of the brand tone of voice. The goal is to inspire and attract the target audience, whilst developing the Turtle Bay brand look and feel.
Your Key Responsibilities:
Design Projects
The Graphic Designer will be responsible for the process of defining requirements, visualising and creating graphics in the following areas:
Illustrations and infographics for marketing campaigns
Social media artwork creation and posting
Artwork for email campaigns
Creative input for website
Create digital content across video, photography, animations, copywriting etc
Photography and videography for marketing campaigns and internal use
Training documents and guides
Packaging design
Creation of multimedia content
The Graphic Designer will develop and produce professional, innovative multimedia content across a wide range of marketing and communications media, including but not limited to:
Print collateral requests
Digital collateral requests for marketing campaigns
Internal communication collateral
Work with the Digital Marketing Executive to create and send emails to our database
Social Media
The Graphic Designer will support in creating and executing engaging social media campaigns in areas including:
Photography
Videography
GIF creation
Contributing to campaign ideas
Posting social media content and engaging with guests
Website
The Graphic Designer will update and maintain the website as and when necessary, in areas including:
Photography
Assisting with scheduling campaigns
Suggesting improvements and ideas
Writing blogs, and updating information
Potential to gain further understanding and training on HTML and website builds
Menu Design
The Graphic Designer will support the menu design process, including monitoring competitors to check for innovative ideas. Examples include:
Creating menu artwork mock-ups to show different layouts and creative direction
Negotiate print costs on a regular basis to ensure competitive pricing
Manage print suppliers on quantities, spec and deadlines
Plan menu changes and updates with the Operations Director and Marketing Director, such as:
o Copy updates (new menu launches)
o Christmas
o Valentine's Day
o Set menus
o Take out
Other responsibilities including, but not limited to:
Maintenance of the Turtle Bay asset library
Local marketing support including liaison with restaurant teams and delivering against their needs
Restaurant visits and event support where deemed necessary
Negotiate production costs where possible
Maintaining the Turtle Bay App
Support the Marketing and Guest Experience team in all areas where required
