Head Chef - The Farm Shop, Mayfair

Located over two floors, Farm Shop will sell meat, cheese and charcuterie, wine, cider, honey, and a foraged range produced with ingredients from our 1,000-acre farm in Somerset, alongside products from carefully selected farmers, growers and makers from the South-West. Featuring a dedicated butchery counter, deli, cheese, charcuterie, and other Farm Shop delights, customers will also be able to purchase charcuterie, cheeses from our cheese room, and wines from our cellar to enjoy on the premises.

The first Farm Shop opened at Durslade Farm in Bruton, Somerset in 2020. In 2023 it was awarded Specialist Butcher's Shop of the Year and many of our fresh and ambient products have won Great Taste awards over the past two years.

We're on the lookout for people who share our passion for seasonality and sustainability and will champion both our farm and the talented growers and makers who help create our product.

Your Role
We are looking for a Head Chef to join our opening team and make their mark on this new opportunity.

The Head Chef will ensure the efficient running of the kitchen located within the Farm Shop and work closely with the Farm Shop Manager, Head Butcher & Wine Manager, whilst delivering an exceptional experience for every visitor.

The role involves supervising, training and developing team members and overseeing the food aspects of the Farm Shop including;

- Overall responsibility for Farm Shop kitchen areas

- Hands on and ability to demonstrate leadership skills

- Clear communication between departments and team members regarding new items and suppliers, along with a focus on the shifting seasonality of the products

- Health and Safety and Food Alert compliance

- Working closely with the rest of the Farm Shop team
