This is an excellent opportunity to join a thriving University in one of the UKs most vibrant, diverse, and exciting cities.

The University of Brighton boasts over 18,000 students and staff alongside a huge presence in the local community. Providing opportunities to all in its portfolio of gym and studio space across two campuses which also includes a pool and sporting facilities.

You will work as part of an energetic and forward-thinking team, overseeing facility operations, enhancing member experience, and undertaking practical delivery of gym inductions, exercise classes, workshops, small group training and personalised fitness programmes.

The role offers enormous potential to any level 2 or above fitness professional who is looking for either full time employment and/or looking to supplement/develop self-employed PT work around some core fitness instructor hours. Accordingly, we are interested in speaking with any candidate we identify as someone we want to embrace in our team and develop in a role that can be flexible now and, in the future, to accommodate your career progression in the fitness industry.

Applicants must have a genuine passion for fitness, sound working knowledge of the fitness industry, excellent communication and active listening skills, the ability to manage time and workload effectively and be a great team player happy to share knowledge and best practice.

Please refer to the below job description for further information and feel free to ask any questions.

The University is committed to creating and maintaining an inclusive environment for all staff regardless of age, disability, family or caring responsibilities, gender identity, marital status, pregnancy or maternity, race, religion or belief (including non-belief), sex and sexual orientation. We embrace equality and diversity in our working, learning, research and teaching environment and are committed to maintaining a supportive and inclusive community. We particularly encourage applicants from Minority Ethnic backgrounds because the University is under-represented by Minority Ethnic staff.

For the vast majority of our roles, we operate an agile working system with time split between working on campus and at the employee's home. It is the University's expectation that home working will take place within the UK.

Further information about working for us, as well as the wide range of benefits we offer, can be found in the working with us section of our vacancies page.
