As the General Manager of our new, state-of-the-art health and wellness hub, you'll be the driving force behind our exceptional service and community engagement. Your passion and unwavering dedication will ensure extraordinary experiences for the communities we serve. You will take charge of the day-to-day management of the centre, delivering unparalleled service, streamlining operations, and maintaining the highest standards in everything we do. Your expertise will play a pivotal role in realising the potential of this newly developed community facility driving membership sales and generating secondary revenue streams, securing our long-term financial sustainability.
At Active Life, we highly value problem-solving and analytical skills, as they are fundamental qualities for our senior leaders. With substantial experience in a similar role within the leisure or hospitality sector, you'll possess a deep understanding of financial planning, budget management and sales pipelines. Your "make it happen" attitude and relentless pursuit of excellence will inspire your team to reach new heights.
While CIMSPA membership is desirable, it's not essential. We firmly believe in the power of continuous learning and growth, providing sector-leading training opportunities to our prized team members.
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead your team in delivering unparalleled service to our communities.
- Drive the centre's operations, ensuring targets and objectives are met.
- Develop and implement comprehensive financial plans for the centre, monitoring progress and reporting results.
- Make strategic management decisions to enhance profitability and secure long-term success.
- Establish and maintain effective controls encompassing financial, non-financial, and health and safety aspects of the business.
- Foster a cohesive local leadership team, nurturing their growth and boosting their performance.
- Implement our people strategy at the local level, embedding efficient recruitment, people management, and development strategies to create a culture of engagement and retention.
- Cultivate strong relationships with customers, third parties, and clients, guaranteeing unparalleled service delivery.
- Promote a culture of safety, health, and well-being across all aspects of the facility, products, team, and community.
